Experience story
Horses are central to traditional Tibetan mountain life, and at Songtsam Glamping Palpa you can learn the basics in the same forest-and-pasture valley where local villagers tend their herds. Under professional coaches you learn to saddle and mount before riding out amid the river valley and its surrounding spruce, fir and alpine-oak woodland. Available 09:00-18:00; the on-site 15-minute experience is 298 yuan per person and the on-site 40-minute experience is 698 yuan per person. For more details, contact the hotel front desk.
